EYFS Curriculum
At Little Treehouse, we believe in best practices and have developed a unique and stimulating program for our children. The British Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS) Curriculum is at the core of our pedagogy. Our qualified team also draws inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach, the Montessori methodology, and the Green School initiative.
We believe that the child’s environment is the Third Teacher. Each element has been carefully designed with utmost care to support the child’s learning. Our classrooms are warm and inviting, featuring high ceilings and an abundance of natural light.

Sustainability
Little Green Footprints
Learning sustainability starts with everyday practice. Children will learn how to live in harmony with nature from a young age and carry this eco-consciousness thread lifelong.
Sustainable practices in our daily routine day-to-day activities include:
Encouraging children to switch off water and electricity after using
Teaching children the natural decomposition cycle by composting food scraps, egg
shells and coffee for the garden
Educating children and having them participate in ‘garden to plate’ activities including
seed sprouting, weeding, vegetable gardens, and cooking
Educating children on caring for plants and recycling clean water into our garden
Field trips to gardens, plant nurseries, and refill centers
Embracing learning opportunities and embodying sustainability in our design and day-to-day operations:
Incorporating a plant-based menu
Instilling a zero single-use plastic rule at school
Making organic, homemade soaps, mosquito repellents, and gels
Maximizing natural resources where possible such as relying on natural light and heat
Utilizing environmentally friendly products, such as wood, bamboo, copper and steel,
for learning aids and material
Up cycling raw materials in the construction of Little Treehouse Nursery
CCTV throughout all areas of the nursery (Management access only)
Guard on duty during school hours
Single Point Entry/Exit
Background check of all nursery employees
Visitors are accompanied at all times
First Aid Training for all school staff

Nutrition
Nutritious Plant-Based Approach
In the early years, good nutrition is critical. By offering a variety of textures, tastes and
colors, we help children build a positive relationship with food. Children learn about where their food comes from by growing food in our herb and vegetable garden and hydroponic balcony.
All meals are homemade and plant-based, with the inclusion of dairy and eggs. We ethically source homegrown fruits and vegetables in support of our local farmers.
Why go plant based?
We chose to go plant based to avoid the unwanted hormones and chemicals hidden in the meat industry. With a bigger demand for healthy food in the world, plant based living is the future!
Our meals are prepared on site by our in-house chef in our fully equipped on-site kitchen. In planning the menu we take account of individual dietary needs and aim to provide both a nutritious and varied range of meals and snacks.
A balanced diet with a lot of varied meals
Plenty of fresh and organic fruit and vegetables
Minimal use of salt and sugar within our meals
Provide a diverse menu, which facilitates to develop children’s taste buds
